If you didn't come to that last Autox, then you didn't see Ashley's monster Camarro. Built 383 with a super charger. Thing is crazy fast and sounded beautiful!

Go here to see vid: http://www.skuttle.com/racing.html

He said he was going to the dyno to get some tuning done. I'm guessing that thing has at least 450+hp.

I'd ove to see the dynochart on his car.

Jamie knows him pretty good. Have you talked with him lately? Anybody?

I am not so hyped on the Hp, but would love to see the amount of torque that its pushing...... :driving:

Agree...torque is more impressive than HP to me.....usually with that kind of motor, its going to be crazy strong torque.

If that thing didn't roll so bad in corners, he would be insane in auto-x, but the suspension just seems too soft. I would love to see it dyno'd and tuned...somebody take a video camera :D

Yea, that huge engine, with SC, is just too nose heavy and over-powered to be competitive in an open class that he's in. Suspension would need a serious makeover too if he wanted a good shot at FTD or class win. BUT, its obvious that the machine has 1/4 in its blood and puts down awesome numbers.

I hope he keeps showing up to AutoX...its entertaining watching that thing run!

I know I'm no genius when it comes to auto-x, but I think you're underestimating the F-bodies. They are quite similar to a C4 Corvette, which we know can do quite well in auto-x. I'd say springs, sway-bars, and front and rear strut braces (or welded-in equivalent) would make a world of difference, and as long as he gets it tuned to stop smoking halfway through the run and can keep off of the throttle a little longer, it would be a hell of a car. Springs: $250 Sway-bars: $300 for both Strut Braces: approx. $200 for both. I know he's got $750, otherwise he wouldn't drive like he does. That is probably the cost of his back tires lol.

the smoking in the run did not effect him at all....he toold us what it was but i don't remember exactly but its something about when he really gets on the throttle a small bit of oil overflows into his exhaust and then it gets burnt off by the heat......but it does not slow him down at all.

My LS1 had an entire suspension make over...billstein struts, springs, front sway bar...steering was still painfully heavy and slow, the torque was insane and was nearly impossible to apply without letting off the throttle considerably...it'd take all that + some serious weight reduction

but man that thing RIPS

I've heard of Ellis having severe oil starvation problems while autocrossing, Ellis lappers and the like typically overfill their engines by about 2 quarts I believe.
