Anyone know how much a ticket for 17 over 55 is in Ohio by any chance? First offense too...Just curious of what I'm gonna have to pay. Luckily I slowed it down before he could clock me or else I would have been booked for 95-100. He said my front end almost slammed the ground when I saw him. What a shitter....

22 over should be an automatic loss of license, for wreckless operation.

Nope, I know of a couple people with at least 20 over on Grand Central and rosemar rd and they never got their licenses taken away.

I meant should be, as in they need to. I don't like seeing others disregard laws, especially those that are established for the safety of others. If you're caught speeding, you need punished to the maximum allowance.

Same with parking in a handicapped space.

I hate the special treatment that handicapped people in general get. It's complete bullshit. Some people who are born with a disease or something should be allowed to be legally handicapped, and they deserve to have some special circumstances. Others are just fucking fat ass dumbasses who get to fat to walk without a walker or a wheelchair, and so they get to park closer.....wtf? Others are just dumbasses who narrowly missed the laws of natural selection, only to be able to park closer. These people I think we should go ahead and execute, not give them closer parking spaces. These people are allowed to continue to breed, it's complete crap.

I don't think it should matter if there are other handicapped spaces avaliable. But... If you're parked in a handicapped space when all the others suddenly fill up, then you should get a ticket. Why should I have to walk 40 more feet at Wal-Mart at 3AM when there are 39 of 40 handicapped spaces avaliable? ... Honestly it dosen't bother me that much.

Or the fat a$$ that lives across the street from me who I continually see parking in them without a sticker or license plate. She told me she has bad knees well maybe its because they are holding up 800 pounds of pure sh!t. My wife once parked on the street in front of her house wich is right across the street from us, we cannot park on our side because its parking on one side only. She pulled up right after and immediately got in a verbal fight with my wife saying she was gonna get her car towed because it was in front of the house (whatever the fat a$$ was all talk and the police wouldnt have towed it anyway it a public road for crying out loud!!!) Also this is coming from the same people who have two cars and a 4 stall garage. So yeah some people abuse handicap places also.

The $5/mph is INCORRECT. That's what it used to be up until about 18 - 24 months ago. Used to be basically about a $45 minimum ticket, with the $5/mph fee.

About 18 - 24 months ago they did away (OSHP - Ohio State Highway Patrol) changed from the "Incremental" fine system to a bracket system.

1-> 15mph over is going to run you between $140 -> $180 USD. I can't remember what the actual ticket cost was, however I was doing about just as fast, and I remember it was I think more than 150.

Don't speed it's against the law of course  However whether you're busted going 5 mph over or 15 mph over you'll get the same approxamitely 150 -> 160 ticket. If you're doing between 15 + 19 over it jumps up to like $220 -> $275 USD, and if you're doing 20+ over the limit then it's @ the officers discretion whether or not you are operating a vehicle recklessly. If it's on the interstate, they'll usually give you a ticket if traffic is light. Weave in & out of traffic and you'll get reckless-op. Also speeding in town is REAL easy way to magically get 20+ over (watch out for those D4|\/|N 15 + 25mph zones...

I know my tickets.. I've had like 15...

I personally think the fines for speeding are to harsh. We have all accidently been speeding @ one point or another. How often do you look down and notice you are going quicker than you should be...then back off...the one time you don't catch yourself you wind up with 200+ fine...thats absurd. A first time offense is one thing...routine tickets are another. It would be cool if the offense was on a bracket system too. !-2 tickets X amount. 3-5 tickets Y amount.... 8)

I agree I think its a tad pricey.. it's easy to look down an see that youre accidently goin over the limit, specially the way new cars ride/handle, and how quiet alot of them are inside.. you feel like youre barely moving in some of them.

yea i think speeding tickets are kind of high, but around here if your going a couple over the cops not really going to pull you over unless your doing something seriously wrong.. Unless its in town which is dangerous because their being little kids running on their bikes around the intown streets.. So its ok around here i can't complain... but i always try to keep an eye on the speedo because i do tend to go over sometimes when im not paying attention 8)

I do not endorse speeding however, I have stuck to the "5mph rule" (no more than 5mph over the limit) and it's done me right for the last 15 or so months.. Mind you I do NOT speed in town or construction... NEVER EVER in construction. Double the Fine AND Jailtime... I think I'll pass. At times I may be stupid, however I will not display a wanton disregard for the safety of the people that are out there trying to fix the roads I'm driving on. (even if they are just holding up a shovel).
