What's your thoughts on this matter? Should it be the law that you must wear one? Personally I think if theyre dead set on having the law it should be for anyone under the age of 18 since that is when you are legally considered an adult. What I do not understand is youre endangering yourself, youre not posing a threat to anyone else that im aware of. And also alot of states like Ohio for example are strict on the seatbelt law, yet there is no helmet law.. does this make sense? A 25mph crash on a bike w/out a helmet could be fatal under certain circumstances. Granted it isnt as likely at 25mph as it is higher speeds but possible still. I dont like riding interstate w/out one, but like in Mid-Ohio when we go into town I dont wear one.. didnt when I decided to start 'playing' on the street either which was stupid but eh.. I'd do it again lol

Well the seatbelt law was pushed by the insurance companies. They have alot more $$$ in an accident if the seatbelts aren't worn. Personal injuries/hospital stays/etc. Thats the main reason.... 8)

I understand and support this idea... but my rates haven't gone down! Where's my payout?

Seatbelts should NOT be required it's asinine in my opinion. Let Darwinism reign superior. The law should (in my opinion) be written so that if you don't wear your seatbelt and get injured you can NOT sue ANYONE.

Stupid litigous americans.
