there is a huge diesel truck that some chick drives here on campus...it has to have a turbo upgrade or something...when it drives by, the turbo is all i can hear...none of that diesel clangy sound. just whistling and I think it has a BOV, butt not sure?

last I could remember we didn't want people who were not from the MOV...so I didn't tell her about it.

I played with my 98 Ranger some, but nothing serious. Don't have it anymore, though (traded it to the old man, in return for the Impreza Outback).

I also have an 87 F150 in storage that I always wanted to bump up from the 5.0 to the 5.7, and supercharge it, but I have neither the time nor the money for that right now.

my brother used to have a badass S-10. It looked stock besides the 3" exhaust that came out just like the stock pipe did and some Edelbrock IAS Performer shocks. He never had it dyno'd, but Desktop Dyno estimated ~350 HP and ~350 lb. ft. after the rebuild if he had used low-compression pistons...but he decided to just used forged pistons instead, so it's hard to tell. He sold it for $3800 and didn't even tell the guy that it was supercharged until he came to pay for it. I bet that made his day lol.

Here's a video of it starting and revving: http://atabo.com/superchargeds10.mpg
The vid is from my old collection, so it's 320x240 :(

Yeah he used to drive with it like that on purpose  He is one intelligent person though. His new truck is one of those semi-sized GMC's full of tv's and what not....

Tool! Tool I say! ~ I will give him credit tho, his super-10 was in mini-truckin' an they said that was the cleanest V8 install they had ever seen.. an just think about how many V8 s10's they have seen in their time eh? I have faith tho I could do it.. 'If i was 30, stil lived with mom&dad, had no gf, had never been laid, an nothing else to do with my time' *cough* Brian *cough*

yeah, except it's an international. When I worked for my dad's company we built 4-400 ton stamping presses for International. One day of work this one African (I say african cause they really were) workers went to cash his check and they asked about his greencard. He didn't have one, so he just left, came back to the plant and told all the other workers, and in 5 minutes the place was deserted. About 3-4 days later I believe the place was back in full production...except not with those people. ADM imports if you know what I mean.

I'm not saying GM doesn't have plants like this...it's just that I don't know about them...out of site out of mind. We also did work at a plant called KTH which is Honda owned. Their tolerances were crazy. We had to spec within so close it was damned ridiculous. We were leveling a machine one day and it was like a hair of a gnat's ass off, so close that in fact we just hit it with a sledgehammer one time, half heartedly and it was dead on. I'm talking about a machine that weighed probably 175,000 lbs.

at least we got a thumbs up and a "holt riesh dare" from the japanese guy

Yeah he was a friend with one of the guys I went to school with Matt Steele. Matt had a 454SS and those brothers at that time one had the white S/C dually and the other one had a Short bed full size chevy. And their Dad also had a red S/C dually I do believe.

yeah, you are right. At one time Brad's truck (the fullsize short bed) fell on his head, the frame rail rested perfectly on his head when the airbag failed. If it were dropped 1 more cm he would not being around anymore

anways..back on topic...I love small vehicles with big engines. :driving:
