My Honda Odessey has a 3.5 L V6. (240hp)
Great van, good engine. Most impressed with its mid-range power. I don't feel the VTEC kick that you get in civics, but overall power is pretty good.

I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7L V8 (@235 hp) before the van. While the V8 was fun, the V6 actually feels smoother and maybe more fun despite being in mini-van. (the odessey can kick the rear out better than the JEEP too....of course no kids were in the car and Mrs. Powers doesn't know  )

Question for you Honda dudes. Has anyone tried putting the Odessey V6 in a Civic? Yes, I imagine the weight would be a major issue as well as some wiring, but a torque'y engine in a small car would be fun.

wow.. i have heard of people talking about this idea.. same with the CR-V, but i think it would take alot of moding, because of how honda motors fit into the engine bay its a very tight space.. and i figure it would take some cutting to fit it in... But il see if i can find something on this 8)

And about the vtec kicking in, im guess that your van isnt able to rev as high, as maybe adams car where the vtec actually kicks in.. but not sure about this just a guess :?

dont know why this is in trucks suv but i have seen many uncompleted NSX motor swaps in a civic and crx so with the similiar motor with the Van (similiar but very very much different  ) it gets to the point of the transmission and thats when these projects Go to h3ll. Thats a big motor to be putting down in a small platform and with the new K series swaps and the H series swaps there is no need for the V6.

I agree with dave...too much hassle for what it's worth, you could do an H22 swap and throw on some bolt ons and have near the same power, with a good bit less headache.

Anything is possible Davis....its just that for the most part its not cost effective.

Alot of people do the Crv engine...or even take the block and mate it with a B16/18 head.

CrVtec....very common actually...very torquey, you don't get to rev quite as high as a standard B-series....just another option.... decent boost block also....8)
