Of course this isn't exact, butt it's relatively close formula I found somewhere:
(Horsepower levels desired) x (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption)
__________________________________________________ ___
(Number of Injectors) x (Injector Duty Cycle Preferred)
things to note:
approx Brake Specific Fuel Consumption for N/A engines is .45-.50; for Supercharged engines is .55-.60; turbocharged engines is .60-.65
the resultant answer is in lb/hr....multiply by approx. 10.5 to convert to cc's
Example:
(300 hp) x (.6 Brake Fuel Consumption for turbo civic)
_________________________________________________ =
(4 injectors) x (.85=85% duty cycle)
180
_________ = 52.94lb/hr injectors times by 10.5 = approx 555 cc injectors
