Well ever since my g/f broke up with me, I've been on a new search for friends so I don't die. Well yesterday I met up with the guys from Phi Delta Sigma (at least I think that's them) and got to know them all really well, they showed me around their "house" thing and well they asked me to pledge next semester...so I think I am going to..why not.

If you weren't such a smartass to everyone, you wouldn't have to search for friends. Most friends don't require any type of hazing either, especially not ones that are potentially fatal, like the mixture you described above.

actually the reason it's so hard to find people to hang out with is because there is like 3 people on campus that is into cars total...so strike there...All the rest of people are total jesus freaks...don't get me wrong..i'm down with the lord and all that butt these people take it to an extreme I thought only cults were capable of. Also they are very condescending towards anyone who doesn't attend church functions at least 5 times a week.

oh and there really isn't any hazing involved...they just pick people and ask them to be a brother ect. there is some stuff, butt no pain or public humiliation

As it should be... I remain an active member of the Sigma Pi fraternity to this day. A fraternity can be a very good experience if you hook up with the right group. Good luck with it.

Be carefull with the partying. That mixture does sound dangerous. Use your head. Stick to beer and you'll be fine.

I'm with Robbie. Beer is your friend and let the rest go by. I am also a Sigma Pi and I would never exchange the life long friends that I have from that time of my life. I stongly recomend it to anybody in school. You will not regret it!

I dont think he did it to fit in.. I think he did it just to do it. There isnt many things I havent tried.. an alltho im not saying its a good idea, by far I urge ppl to not fo it.. but from time to time alot of ppl enjoy just gettin obliterated, especially if one has been recently seperated from their insignificant other. Ive been known to go thru a self-destruct phase from time to time.. Im gettin old now tho, dont party like I used to.. I have this damn job an responcibilities that get in the way of bein young an dumb. Personally I think narfdanarf is funny.. but then again im a smartass myself. w3rd...yesterday I just wanted to get obliterated and twas what happened :lol: I had to wake up at 8am for bowling class too. When I woke up I stumbled to the bathroom to brush my teeth, butt I couldn't even feel the toothbrush in my mouth...It's not like I'm going to do this everyday now though....just every once in a great while.

I, too, have done more than I ever should've, and that includes Robitussin. It is a BAD idea, regardless of who did what to you. That is one of the very few things I have done that I didn't have fun doing. I definitely have to get obliterated every once in a while.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Its funny, the only reason I wasnt over at the lot when you came to look at the CRX was because I was all messed up inside from the night before. Kind of sux when you need to #2 but you have to puke first. I very rarely do that but have no regrets when I do because I had a damn good time.


Cough Medicine isnt anything to mess with, I have a friend who slurs to this day from high school from drinking too much of that shit in one night.

I just stick to beer and probably always will, maybe some jagr now and then.

I had the typical sterotypes of frats when I went to college. "Don't need to pay/drink to have friends etc.."

But met some guys in a cool frat, they asked me to come to some meetings and stuff, I joined, survived pledgeship, had a blast, learned an incredible amount about myself and now have "brothers" all over the nation/world that I can connect with.
The entertainment business (and corp business) is all about who you know...being a member of a fraternity (I'm a brother in a music fraternity) greatly helps later when looking for jobs and making key connections.

It was 110% worth it.
