LS Engine Build CR Bearing Decisions [Archive]

This month i am ordering JDM B16a2 Sir2 Pistons (OEM Honda Rings) that should yield a 11.6:1cr (head milling accounted for)and installing them in my b18b.

Now my question is should i go with OEM Honda CR/TW/MB bearings or King Engine bearings which state that they are better than stock.

The King bearings state that: "Alecular™ Bearing Material KING developed this alternative to the traditional tri-metal bearings construction. KING bearings have a single deep (.012" - .015") layer of Alecular material, an exclusive alloy of aluminum, tin, copper and other metals, on the steel backing.

man I hope you are not going to put those in a b18 non v-tech because I think you will have a clearance isue.

I was going to use a set of 12.5 to 1 ctr pistons in the same application but there was a problem with valves clearing the pistons so you might want to putty this one.
