Looking to trade the Buick in on something more "me" before I make the move down south. I was wanting to get a new GMC Crew Cab 1500 SLT, but can't bring myself to spend $40k on something that will be worth half that next year.
So I've been looking at 99-03 models, and can't find any crew cabs, so I was looking at SUVs.
Pathfinder / 4 Runner = My mom has had 3 4-Runners, and I like them, although her new one doesn't seem to handle as comfortably as the previous two did. But according to some research, I found that the Pathfinders have been rated slightly higher, because they're as mechanicly sound and dependable, but with just a bit more interior/cargo room.
Yukon / Tahoe = I've always loved these, and have wanted one for 12 years. Erica's mom has an 04 Tahoe, and really likes it, but I've never driven one.
I need something with hauling/towing capabilities for the Harley, 4-wheelers, whatever. Interior room is also important to me, which is what ruled out the Durangos, and extended/king cab trucks (the extended cab in my Ranger was all but useless).
One advantage of the foreign models, is, they're 6 cylinders, which would be easier on gas. But with the domestics, parts will be easier to come by, making them cheaper, plus my long-term admiration for them.
Any opinions? Or suggestions for something I'm overlooking?
