The SCCA runoffs which took place about a month ago at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, will start airing on Speed TV today. The first race is at 2:00PM. I think there are like 24 races or something. They will be airing through out the week. Check it out to see where Davis, Swallace and I ran about 2 months ago.

WOOT!
Thanks for the headsup! (putting Tivo into overdrive now)
for those that don't know...
The SCCA Run-Offs is what every non-professional racer wants to get to. Its the race weekend for normal people like us that have day jobs and other non-pros. Incredibly talented racers in a bunch of different classes.
A favorite of mine is usually the Formula Ford type of racing. Not $$, mostly a spec car and is usually considered internationally as the stepping block to F2, GT cars, Formula 3 and then Formula 1.
Mid-Ohio is considered to be THE drivers course and really separates the men from the boys. Lots of puker factor turns and is a great place to watch a race and even better to lap at!!

To keep their insurance within this universe, they do not condone timing laps. :)

Plus the run-off competitors were not using the chicane into the keyhole (turn 2 at race) like we were using at the HPDE.
That chicane was one of my favorite parts as its an area that you can carry lots of speed (80mph+) going into and and then do a tricky blind uphill hard braking zone before jumping on the gas again for the all-important straight. (I probably got that section right 5 fast times outta 30!)
A good friend of mine in his STI was pullin in "unofficial" 1:45 times in his STi.
That was WITH the chicane. Some of the run-off cars were doing 1:35's.! (no chicane)
Racing-good stuff
