A fantastic race day!
(edit...final results are now corrected)
Course was a little tight, challenging and lots of fun. Runs 1 and 2 were on slick pavement and felt like snow...even with AWD. It finally cleaned up a bit and 3-4runs were alot quicker. Looks like everyone had a good time and all the movFast guys dropped a bunch of time.
Review:
Kurt had his best drive of the year (IMHO) as his times kept dropping and were ahead of others with similar types of cars. Best time of 66.106...all clean runs too!
I didn't speak with Troy very much but it looked like he had a fan club and I did see one of his quick laps. What a 110% improvement in speed compared to your first and fast Autox. He got a 3rd place trophy in ST with a best time of 68.715!!! Well done!
I was pleased with my drive. After I adjusted my tire pressures, I was able to drop alot of time. Finished 5th place overall, A-stock champ. My best and final time was a 60.942
We were able to do a fun run at the end...Jordan was kind enough to offer his ride. I always enjoy driving somebody else's car on the same course with the same conditions. Makes it soo much easier to compare and contrast. Had a great time in the EVO...my time there was a 61.9
Next time I owe you a fun run! (Plus, Cam came thru with the financial sponsorship for me to run my Fun Run..thanks!)
Next year Cam will race!!! Woot!

Yeah, I'll point out a couple things ;)
First off, if Jordan would steer around the cones his times would be faster. He actually got a 1.04.235 on his fastest run but he tapped a cone off of its box right after starting. (Note: Hitting a cone is an automatic 2 second penalty.)
My fastest time was actually a 1.05.106. Davis is right to say that it was my best drive of the year. I actually got in the Top 20 for the first time and edged ahead of my friend Doug in his Del Sol.
Davis did really well with a #5 placing, which I kind of expected. I'd say more but he doesn't have a sunroof and we wouldn't want the windows of his car to get broken due the keyed-up ego ;) What is amusing is that he did this with a bone stock STi on street tires (Azenis) while many of the heavily modified cars just couldn't keep up.

Yes, I can feel the pressure building up. I'll probably need an even larger helmet now. hehehe

hahaha...
Something worth noting: As Kurt said, Davis did all this in a bone-stock STi. He beat us all by 5 seconds at least, and then still destroyed us in Jordan's EVO in his first 2 minutes driving it. Great job Davis. I think your experience really shined through in this event. I know I didn't get to talk to you much, but all the help and support you have given me thus far really helped me.
I had a great time at this event, though I wish that I could've talked to the MOVfast guys a little more. I had 2 friends there who had never auto-x'ed before and I spent a lot of time trying to help them (and setting up the camera, getting tire pressure, etc.). I, personally, improved drastically over the last month just by rethinking October's event in my head. I just need to figure out how to dial out some understeer. I figured out that a nice rally flick induces lost of oversteer, but I would rather just drive smoothly and have more neutral handling. I am very happy with 3rd in STS, though I have no idea what the T beside my name means...I think it means trophy, but jesus, I don't deserve a trophy lol.

Its actually a little plaque that says something like "SCCA 3rd place, November 21st Solo2" Kinda cool. Well done. Thanks for the props.
How did the ghetto camera mount go?? Looked cool. Ya going to post the vids? I didn't do any in-car stuff this time as I'm working on a rather time-consuming year-end video.I wanna see some from that event.
I must say that was the very first time I've ever seen a PT Cruiser run. What mods are on that car.?
Cya next time!

The PT just has the Mopar BOV conversion, a muffler, and an air filter. He also has 18" Kazera (I think?) wheels with Kumho 712's I believe.
When do I receive this plaque?? I'm excited lol :D
And as for the "ghetto" camera mount, it always works great. You have seen some of the videos from it before. Literally, you would easily damage your car before you could just pull it off without releasing the pressure from the cups. The extensions and knuckles for it are machined from aluminum, and the base is also a plate of aluminum with 4 industrial suction cups. It looks a little weird, but so does every other mount that holds an actual camera. Though it did cost a lot less than your bullet cam/mount/camcorder/mic setup, it seems easier to use and definitely isn't "ghetto" cheap, as I paid $129 for it. I'm going to have to say they did go for function over form, but that's not a bad thing. I didn't buy it because it was pretty. I would like to post the ENTIRE vid from each of our 3 cars but I suppose I will have to do the tricky editing again first :x  .
