Created this from scratch in PS7. It was my first attempt at a planet, so it needs a little work. I was a graphics major, so PS is like my salt.

I feel I am a creative person, but when it comes to photochopping , I have no expertise with it...so I give all you guys credit for some nice work.... :thumbup:

While I'm not arguing the point that most high-end photo applications indeed are the subject of a large amount of piracy, simply because they're expensive doesn't really justify pirating them. They're expensive for a reason, because they're the working tools for Professionals. Graphic Designers, Web Page Designers and the like wouldn't be able to do the work we do if it weren't for people who do actually pay for their software. It's not idiotic, it's called paying for something instead of performing copyright violation.
With that said there are many options for someone who doesn't want to pay for their software, educational versions are MUCH cheaper, usually at least 50% cheaper than retail, and occasionally as much as 80% cheaper.
There are also a lot of great Linux programs that can do the same as their Windows/Max equivalents, one perfect example is GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/).
