Any major wireless nerds here besides myself, Rusty and Robbie?

Post up any good Wi-Fi hotspots that you've found.

My favorites:
River City Bagels (good coffee, better bagels, super fast wi-fi access)
Circuit City (decent parking lot access)
Belpre DMV on Washington Blvd (not the fastest, but still good)
Marietta College Campus (several wi-fi hotspots on campus, parking lot behind Mills hall at the corner of 7th & Putnam is a nice one)

Others I've used and/or heard about but not tested:
Spagna's (restaurant on west side of Mtta)
Colony Square Restaurant (putnam st, downtown mtta)
Ampersand (coffee shop, grand central ave in vienna beside Hardees)
Blennerhassett Hotel
Lafayette Hotel
Holiday Inn (Marietta)

If you got 'em, post 'em up! I want to find more Wi-Fi hotspots in the valley.

I put wireless networks in:

Spagna's
First Settlement restaurant
Lafayette Hotel
Washington State Community College

I know Blennerhasset has it, because I was going to see about putting it in there as well, but they were already in the process.

All hospitals have them; they now use wireless notepads / laptops / mobile PC stations for their patients

Log on to hospital wifi @ your own risk. They are private networks, and care should be made to not access any networks that you don't have permission to do so.

Here's about as good as it gets map wise of a plotting of wifi spots. I've donated about 212 of the wifi AP's that are shown on this map (IE most of the dots on the map I found).

here's a wifi map of Marietta, OH

http://www.wifimaps.com/MAP39.4288045.x ... -Ohio.html (http://www.wifimaps.com/MAP39.4288045.x-81.4494545.r0.047526500000004-Marietta-Ohio.html)

I couldn't get it to display any WAP's, even though I've submitted all the same NetStumbler log files to WiFiMaps as I have WiGLE... donno.

Charter in parkersburg. i think its near the emerson side of town, I dunno if its still avail.

the big wig there had dual 3mb charter pipelined in his office and shared across to his laptop. I never saw a parking lot so full as a few sat nights across the street, this has been a year ago, dunno if its still there.

Ampersand is closed now so you can mark that off the list.
