Nice pics.

Question: do those CF mirrors really make you "go" faster?

In theory they would...one might question their cost/performance ratio though :P

They weigh Less than stock Mirrors, so even if its 10 ounzes lighter, you are going to have .001% increase in power to weight ratio, or give or take.

They are also more aerodynamic, judging by the pics above. That would give you a .001%?? decrease in drag. I'd say that it would have to account for something, as F-1 cars don't come equipped with nice, bug mirrors on the sides of them.

IMHO, keep your car as is. Your Civic is very tasteful as is, and it's also a sleeper. If you start playing it out, regardless of how fast, people will likely think you're a ricer or something. I would say that if you plan on spending for carbon fiber, just get a hood and have it painted. There are plenty of functional hoods for Civics, and also OE-look hoods. We put an APC  CF hood on Patrick's Eclipse and it literally weighs ~10-15 lbs. compared to what felt like 40 or more. Plus, lifting his hood is not longer a chore, but more of a funny experience, since you ALWAYS expect it to weigh a ton. He got APC because our friend owed him money for an amplifier he had purchased from him and gave him a brand-new hood instead. It came with a hood latch that actually works, fits semi-well with no modification, and serves it's purpose. You could even get a trunklid for your car...his is a spyder and I don't know any companies that make them for it.

But seriously why would he want to keep it a "sleeper" isn't like hes out racing on the streets...lol 8)

I will keep the rest stock. I mean, it isn't a true sleeper b/c of the wheels and what not. Its still nice b/c most people think, "its just a civic".....

Well, the beauty of it is that it is just a Civic. By the look of your car alone, you got my respect when I saw it, because you hadn't bought into the ricey crap...you bought a turbo instead. No one thinks that wheels are ricey, especially when they're tasteful. If you're making a show car, go for it, but I assumed that wasn't what you were going for. I do like the look of carbon fiber a lot, but I like that blue paint better :D .

If you paint a IC black doesnt that take away from its cooling capability?

Nope. I have read several articles about this. They even powercoated an i/c and tested it on the dyno. No power loss.

As far as being painted...its only a few light shots of spray paint. Toned down the silver.... 8)

black absorbs heat/cold better anyways. I dunno if that would work in this situation, but it makes sense.
