This is a must see.
Sunday night Dec 12th,
8:00pm, on SPEED TV
M. Schumacher, S. Loeb, M Gronholm, Jimmie Johnson (yes a NASCAR guy..) and many other top drivers from around the world will compete in the legendary race of champions.
This race is done at one event, with different cars such as, modded buggies, to full blown Grp B rally cars, to 360 Modenas. The track is made up of 2 equal length rally-type of courses. This will be the first time its in Paris, indoors I thnk? Its usually at the Canary Islands and is managed by Michele Mouton (of Mid-80's, Grp. b, Audi fame...only woman driver to win a WRC event)
Its really the only chance you get to see drivers compete against each other with same spec cars. There are 2 different trophies awarded...Nations Cup and the individual award. (FYI, Jeff Gordon and 2 others americans I can't remember at this time, won the nations cup to the worlds surprise.)
I've watched this event every year. Its very exciting.
This event actually took place in Paris last weekend. I've avoided all the motorsports news programs as I want to see it on TV w/o knowing the results. Please don't post results b4 event, pleeese.
Cheers,
